Geometry and Quantum Theory (GQT)

Oliver Fabert

Oliver Fabert received his PhD from the University of Munich in 2008, after returning from a semester-long stay at ETH Zurich. After postdoc positions including fellowships from MSRI Berkeley and the Max Planck Institute in Leipzig, he received his habilitation at the University of Hamburg in 2014. He is currently an assistant professor at VU Amsterdam. While most of his research centers around Gromov-Witten theory, Floer theory, and mirror symmetry, recently he has started to explore the symplectic topology of Hamiltonian partial differential equations with the help of model theory.
