Introduction to Flexible Mathematics

There are two directions of explorations in Mathematics. The rigidity side concerns with finding constraints and restrictions, while on the flexible side mathematicians are developing techniques for new constructions which test the limits of what is possible. The discovered properties are often unexpected and counter-intuitive.

Before the talk there will be refreshments from 15:00 to 15:30 in front of the Cosmos Lecture Theater.

After the talk there will be drinks from 16:30 to 17:00 in the mathematics library (7th floor of the Hans Freudenthalgebouw).
